Spinach and Rice Homemade Dog Treats

I love making my own dog treats and my dogs love to eat them!

Here is a recipe from my canine recipe book "Chew On This - Homemade Dog Treat Recipes" using spinach and rice as the main ingredients.

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 F (176 C)

In food processor turn oats into coarse meal.

Combine all ingredients in bowl and mix well.

Roll dough to 1/4 inch on floured surface.

Cut with cookie cutters or make small dough balls.

Arrange cookies on greased cookie sheet ( use fork to flatten dough balls)

Bake for 15-25 minutes until lightly browned.

Ingredients

• 2 cups Brown Rice (uncooked)
  
• 2 cups Oats
  
• 1/2 cup Chicken Broth
  
• 1 cup Brown Rice Flour
  
• 1/2 cup Apple Sauce
  
• 1 can Spinach

Allow cookies to cool off completely before you feed them to your dog!
They can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week or you can freeze them to store for longer.

Special note regarding ingredients:
Please be sure to use natural unsweetened applesauce. Never use any ingredients that use the label "lite" as these will have artificial sweeteners in them. Artificial sweeteners are toxic to dogs
